Verified ReviewerLOST LUGGAGE UPON ARRIVAL AT CALGARY AIRPORT
This is regarding the luggage that I did not receive upon our arrival at the airport from Vancouver around 1:30 in the morning. I am sending this email because I believe that there was negligence on the part of the staff of Air Canada.
Since the suitcase contained several valuables such as a laptop charger and mobile phone chargers (3 chargers), a winter jacket, a glucose (sugar level) test kit, medicine for one month, and other personal items, it impacted the following:
1.
We were the only ones left at the baggage claim and we waited several minutes for the airline's personnel to find the said luggage.
2. Delay in the accomplishment of the grades in school which I needed to submit on time due to the absence of the laptop charger and mobile charger.
3. I was not able to monitor my sugar level immediately the following day, hence, I still need to request assistance from my relatives to buy because of its urgency. Further, I missed taking my other medicines kept also in the luggage.
4.
A winter jacket needed to be secured and bought at once.
Although we appreciate receipt of the lost luggage on December 26, 2023, it had however caused a significant inconvenience on our part. How can it be possible that while all other luggage were checked in at the same time, one was left behind?
Above-considering, may we send this email as a motion of complaint due to an incident that transpired on December 23, 2023, at around 2:00AM which affected my job efficiency and most especially health matters. .
Hoping for your prompt attention and response on this matter. You may contact Ms.

I am messaging on behalf of my mom in law Olena Buran ticket number 014919****374. My mom came from the war here to Canada to try and start up a new life here.
She started to have very bad teeth pain all along with that very much so missing home. The quote they gave her here to fix her teeth was a lot and she decided (without consulting us because she knew we would talk her out of it) that it would be a good idea to go to Ukraine to fix her teeth and be able to return home for a bit. This last week bombing has been bad in Ukraine and close to the area she was staying. My mom is now stressed and worried to go back home.
She was not thinking straight purchasing these tickets as she missed home very much. The tickets were booked through Expedia and I have been on the phone all day back and forth trying to get approval for refund. Expedia said they will cancel her flight if you approve refund on your end. I know the ticket shows non refundable but I'm hoping given the back story maybe you would consider approving my mom in law for a refund!
Expedia told me they just need to see approval from your end and they will refund me the tickets. Thank you for taking the time to read through this email. My name is Lilia.
I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you!

Verified ReviewerCustomer service
My partner and I used United to book our flights for our Mediterranean cruise. We purchased our seats so we were assured to sit together, as I have some medical issues.
We choose our seats very methodically. Two days before our flight, she checked the flights so we could arrange our pickup from our home airport. She saw that the flight was changed to Air Canada and the seat reservations were removed. We had to spend an additional $217 to repurchase our seats.
The choices were minimal. We went from a 2 seat to a three seat and it was very cramped. We were not notified of the change. Had we known, we would rather have changed the date of the return to assure flying with United if we had to spend the extra money anyway.
The flight from Athens to Toronto is not a short flight. We contacted United about the refunded money for the seats and we were told that Air Canada handles that on this flight. She called Air Canada and was told there would be no refund.
We tried again while pleading our case and, again, we were dismissed. Final result is losing $217 for what we had to spend due to the airlines changing planes.
- Temperature was nice and the staff was wonderful
- Cramped seating
- Spending more at no fault to consumer

Verified ReviewerRE: New Aircraft Order
Dear Mr. Rousseau, As a member of the flying public, I, Tran Jacinto, am writing in regards to a new aircraft order that Air Canada should announce in the near future.
As Air Canada's current flagship plane, the Boeing 777 continues to age, and will eventually need replacing, Air Canada should go ahead to announce an order for aircraft such as:
Airbus A350-900 Orders: 10
Airbus A350-**** Orders: 30
Air Canada should plan on announcing this 40 aircraft order at the 2024 Farnborough Airshow, which will take place between July 22, 2024 and July 26, 2024, with the order expected to be announced on July 23, 2024. Before this order can even be announced, Air Canada would need to enter discussions with Airbus for 40 Airbus A350's with the order consisting of both the A350-900 and the A350-****. Once the order has been placed and the deal has been closed, Air Canada should plan on expecting a 2026 delivery date for its first A350-**** and a 2027 delivery date for its first A350-900. The airline should label the A350 as the airline's next flagship plane, as this plane would enable Air Canada to replace its fleet of Boeing 777's.
If Air Canada ever decides to go with the A350, this would mark a new era for the airline as this will be the first time in nearly 20 years where Air Canada would operate a long-haul Airbus widebody, as well as a new chapter for the airline as the airline would move towards fuel efficiency and decarbonization. Air Canada should also equip its Airbus A350's with a new Business Class cabin as well as Air Canada introducing First Class, which should be known as "The Business Suite" and should be a First-Business class mix with Business Suite fares being sold between the price of a First Class seat and a Business Class seat. Deliveries for the A350 should occur between 2026 and 2030, with Air Canada expecting 40 Airbus A350's in its fleet all to be delivered by 2030. As a result of this historic order, Air Canada should plan on retiring its entire fleet of Boeing 777's by 2028, in favor of the more fuel-efficient Airbus A350.
and whether or not it would be favorable to the aviation industry. Also, Air Canada should also opt to equip its entire fleet of Airbus A350's with electric blackout windows / electronically dimmable windows, in order to improve onboard passenger comfort.
I kindly request Air Canada to consider the following suggestions as potential ideas for its long-haul fleet modernization. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing these plans come to fruition and anticipating a timely response from you soon!
Sincerely,
Tran Jacinto
